Presentation Description:
The implementation of blockchain technologies can be disruptive... especially for middlemen! One of the main reasons blockchain technologies are disruptive is because they enable people and organizations to transact with directly with each other. In many instances implementing blockchain technologies will be more secure and efficient precisely because it bypasses middlemen. In many instances this is a good result... but what if these “bypassed” middlemen provide importance services?
In order to help avoid these unintended consequences, successful organizations need to research, document and plan for the possible negative repercussions of blockchain disintermediation. By discussing case-studies and the latest blockchain best practices, this session will provide a new and innovative perspective about the challenges associated with blockchain projects.
