Aleda De Maria Biography
Aleda DeMaria is a seasoned banking executive with a proven track record of leading high performing teams, driving growth and delivering results. As the Executive Vice President of PeoplesBank, she leads the divisions of digital growth, retail, operations and consumer lending. She is one of founders of the Bank’s digital-only brand, ZYNLO Bank. In 2022, ZYNLO Bank received the recognition of Highly Commended for Best Digital Initiative in the Fintech Futures Banking Tech Award series. She has participated in several industry articles, conferences and podcasts and is knows for being a strategic thinker and leader.
Aleda is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt and holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Westfield State University and an MBA from Western New England University. She resides in Massachusetts with her daughter, Kyla, and her dog, Tucker.

Michelle Prohaska Biography
In her role as Chief Compliance Officer at Nymbus, Michelle leads both the Compliance and Fraud strategic and operational functions. Michelle began her career in banking as a teller prior to graduating with her undergraduate degree in Accounting from Upper Iowa University. She then continued on to law school, graduating from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2015 and obtaining her license to practice law in the State of Iowa that same year. After graduation Michelle spent three years working as a senior regulatory compliance consultant with RSM US LLP, followed by three years as a VP of Compliance and later VP of Risk Management for a $1B credit union in the Midwest. Michelle has been with Nymbus since 2020 and holds active NCCO, NCRM, and CRCM compliance certifications. She has published content with CUInsight, Bank Director, and Forbes. In 2021, Michelle was named to Diligent’s Modern Governance 100 as a Risk & Compliance Visionary, and in 2022 received a Highly Commended award as a Fintech Rising Star from Fintech Futures.
