Many predict that blockchain technologies will fundamentally change finance and many other industries. What is a blockchain? How does it work? What's the different between blockchain and bitcoin? These and many more questions will be addressed during the “Building Blocks of Blockchain” session. Blockchain instructor, Michael Adams, will clearly describe the fundamental building blocks of blockchains and how they differ from cryptocurrencies. Additionally, this session will outline how blockchains are being utilized by both finance and fintech companies to create new and amazing services. Finally, Michael will provide prognostications about how blockchain functionality will evolve to truly disrupt professions, industries and more!

Michael Adams Biography:
Michael Adam is a seasoned FinTech entrepreneur. Michael newest venture DocLaunch was founded in 2015 and is defining how enterprises are using Blockchain and distributed ledger technology (DLT) today (outside of cryptocurrency applications). In addition to his company's leadership role, Michael is an instructor of Blockchain Technology at Marquette University and sits on MU’s Department of Finance and Blockchain Lab Advisory Boards.
