Chris Uriarte is a Partner at Glenbrook, the global payments advisory firm. He has over 25 years experience as an executive, consultant and entrepreneur within the fintech, payments and banking industries. His expertise lies in global payments, risk management, payments technology, new product development and payments operations.
Prior to joining Glenbrook he held a number of executive positions with startups, financial institutions and Fortune 100 companies. He was previously the CIO and SVP of Data Sciences and Technology at Acima, a $2.5 billion fintech, and a corporate officer of the company's parent, Rent-A-Center Corporation. He served as the SVP of International Operations and Implementations for American Express Company, where he was responsible for global product deployments across five continents. He was a CIO and Global Consulting Practice Leader at Aon, the world's largest professional services firm focused on risk management. He served as the Chief Payments and Strategy Officer at Vesta Corporation, a global provider of payment and risk management services. He was the founding CTO of Retail Decisions, a payments and risk management service provider, which he guided through its IPO, sale to private equity and eventual acquisition by ACI Corporation. Chris has also served as a board member and advisor to numerous industry organizations, fintech and technology companies.
Chris works closely with a number of providers in the payments and fintech ecosystem, including card networks, banks, private equity firms, service providers and startups.
