About Ian P. Moloney Ian P. Moloney leads policy strategy for the American Fintech Council, where he works across the fintech ecosystem to shape regulatory direction. Prior to joining AFC, he held a pivotal role at Cross River as Head of Policy and Regulatory Affairs. His experience also includes time as a Senior Analyst at the U.S. Government Accountability Office, where he focused on fintech, digital identity, and small business lending. Ian has authored several publications on fintech policy for organizations such as the Federation of American Scientists, Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance, and the United Nations. With academic credentials from Central Michigan University and Johns Hopkins University, Ian brings a rare blend of ethical insight, academic rigor, and policy leadership to the fintech space.
