The developer writes their application like it's a traditional, single-process executable that runs on the local machine, and the focus is mostly on the application business logic. Service Weaver takes care of cloud configurations and integration with the cloud provider (e.g., breaks down into a set of connected microservices, monitoring, tracing, logging). With Service Weaver the developer doesn't have to worry about finding the right boundaries to split the application binary into microservices. They can split the application into as many modules as desired. During deployment, Service Weaver decides which modules run together in the same microservice and which run in separate microservices. During deployment, the developer deploys and manages a single application binary. The fact that it runs as separate microservices in the cloud is an implementation detail: Service Weaver tooling preserves the impression of a single application binary, while it allows to easily run and test the application locally, before deploying it in the cloud. Last but not least important, Service Weaver uses custom serialization and transport protocols that are up to 3x more cost effective than the best industry solutions (i.e., gRPC and protocol buffers). This means the cloud bill is significantly reduced and the developer can double-down on their focus on the application logic. Sponsoring a fintech conference can be a great way for companies to get exposure, network with potential clients and partners, and stay up-to-date on the latest trends and innovations in the fintech industry. Here are a few things to consider when thinking about sponsoring a fintech conference:

Kevin will demonstrate the importance of APIs and how they enhance the customer/merchant experience. The three most import points discussed during this presentation will be: 1) The impact of APIs goes beyond the initial payment, as they offer support for what can happen afterwards through post backs/webhooks, reporting, and reconciliation of dispute management (chargebacks). 2) Most organizations put their focus on how to tee-up payments, but it’s also crucial to have the functionality of APIs to help automate processes and support customer needs. 3) Having real-time data available from APIs offers a better and more efficient merchant and customer experience across the board. As Financial Institutions modernize their remote onboarding and online authentication methods, making them more secure and user-friendly (a trend further spurred by the recent pandemic), many realize they are left with outdated customer authentication systems in their physical premises. Consequently, identity fraud and impersonation occurring within the space that they instinctively call “home” can certainly represent a source of concern. Most of us instinctively realize that biometrics technology offers an obvious response to these challenges, capable of joining convenience and security at the highest levels… but can it just be imposed on the customer base, or is it a matter of ensuring a smooth transition from previously used authentication methods, which walk-in customers are already familiar with? Can it also be a matter of dealing with scepticism and reluctancy about a biometric scan occurring in a physical space – when perhaps the very same customers unlock their phone with their finger dozens of times a day, or dash though airports using Clear? Jean-Philippe would like to touch on these topics with you, including a final question: what about neo-banks, who generally do not need traditional branches?
